Every manuscript submitted to Aureole — A Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies and Research is screened for textual similarity using licensed similarity-detection software, currently Turnitin, before it is sent for review. No manuscript proceeds to review without screening.
Threshold
Manuscripts showing overall similarity above 10%, excluding the reference list and properly attributed quotations, are returned to the author. Manuscripts showing similarity above 10% with any single source are returned regardless of the overall figure.
This threshold corresponds to the “minor similarity” band of the UGC Academic Integrity Regulations, 2018, which the journal has adopted as its own standard.
Self-plagiarism
Reuse of an author’s own previously published text without citation breaches this policy. Authors republishing their own figures or tables must cite the original and hold the necessary permission.
Consequences
Manuscripts exceeding the threshold are not considered for publication. Plagiarism identified after publication is handled under Corrections and Retractions.
